It's like opening an iMac pizza The unique design of the Late 2012 iMacs requre the cutting of the foam tape on the display to get inside. This tool comes in two parts: The handle is made of tough, laser-cut Delrin and easily accomodates the cutting wheel while providing plenty of grip. The cutting wheel is specifically designed to slip in the hair-thin gap between the display and the aluminum frame, then easily cut the foam holding the two pieces together.

Great opening tool for the do it yorselfer. I used it to open S7 Edge and replace the rear facing camera. It was a huge help to get the case lifted enough o get the removal started. The flat tool is a nice added bonus but be careful with it. It can easily scratch/chip the edge of the case as you slide it around. I still prefer plastic for that part. This was a complex procedure but have done 2 or three heat gun removals before.
