What is VAT/GST/EORI?

**Please carefully read the statement as below in your best interest.

1. What is VAT/GST/EORI?

VAT(Value-added Tax), also known in some countries as GST(Goods and Services Tax). is a type of general consumption tax, a tax charged on the value added to goods and services at each stage of production, while the tax rate varies in different countries.

EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) number is assigned to an individual legal identity (i.e. sole trader, partnership, company or individual) by your local member state, and that EORI number is used to identify you and your shipments across all EU countries.

2. How does it work in importing?

EORI is basically a method for tracking imports and exports within the EU, it is just a number given to importers and exporters throughout Europe that can be easily and consistently identified by customs.

3. Do I need VAT/GST/EORI?

If you are involved with imports or exports to or from the EU, then you do need an EORI number, if you are required to provide pre-arrival/pre-departure information for goods, or are involved in the import, export or movement of goods under a transit procedure.

4. What's the impact if I do not fill in the VAT/GST/EORI, when placing orders on the website?

Customers are responsible for any possible tax charged in their country's customs. If the VAT/GST/EORI is not filled in when placing orders, then we do not account for any unnecessary costs caused by customer's negligence.

Thank you and if you haven't got a clue, Google would be a better idea. : )
